What is A2P SMS?
A2P (application-to-person) SMS is a text message sent by software rather than a person: one-time passcodes, bank alerts, delivery notices and similar. A2P traffic is priced and routed differently from P2P (person-to-person) SMS: mobile operators charge an A2P termination rate, and wholesale providers like Wise Network deliver it to them through agreed routes. Coverage and route policy
We deliver A2P SMS to every country except those under sanctions. We do not carry traffic to or from countries or parties under UN, US (OFAC), EU or UK sanctions.
Our routes are direct and approved routes only. We do not use SIM farms, P2P interconnects or other bypass to terminate A2P traffic. This matters for you as a sender, because grey-routed messages are increasingly blocked by operator SMS firewalls, and for the operators who receive our traffic.
Connectivity: SMPP and HTTP
Partners connect over SMPP for high-volume, system-to-system traffic, or over HTTP for simpler integrations. Both support delivery reports. See SMPP connectivity for binds, throughput and error handling.
Delivery reports and quality monitoring
Each message returns a delivery report (DLR) with its final status. We monitor delivery rates and latency per destination network and per supplier, and move traffic when a route degrades. Delivery reports come from the delivering network rather than being generated early to look successful.
For aggregators and CPaaS platforms

For mobile operators

Frequently asked questions
What is wholesale SMS?
Wholesale SMS is the bulk sale of SMS delivery between messaging businesses: aggregators, CPaaS platforms, carriers and operators. Prices are per message and per destination network, and connections are system-to-system over SMPP or HTTP rather than through a retail web portal.
Which countries do you cover?
Every country except those under UN, US (OFAC), EU or UK sanctions. Coverage is confirmed per destination network, because route options and sender ID rules differ by operator. Ask us for the current coverage list.
Do you use grey routes?
No. We use direct and approved routes only, and we do not use SIM farms or P2P bypass to terminate A2P traffic. We also build the SMS firewalls operators use to block such routes.
Can I send with an alphanumeric sender ID?
In many countries, yes, but rules vary: some require sender ID registration, some allow only numeric senders, and some replace unregistered sender IDs. We explain the rule for each destination before traffic starts.
